Chanel foundation review: perfection lumiere

The new chanel foundation,
perfection lumiere: oil free, 15 hour wear, SPF 10, and will deliver a luminous semi-matt finish whether you have dry, oily or combination skin!

sounds too good to be true?

however, for £36 i would expect this to be perfect!!

i went in to my nearest debenhams store and asked to be matched with this foundation, the woman matched me with 'beige rose'

The website claims  it It is a  'light, fluid texture glides on seamlessly with adjustable yet lightweight coverage for perfect results'
which in some respect is true as the foundation did glide on my skin, although i did have to apply a lot to get a full coverage, whereas my usual foundation estee lauder double wear lasts me ages as i only need to apply a tiny bit.

This is me wearing the foundation one hour after applying it, to be honest it hadn't budged and my skin did still look flawless, despite my spotty chin (ewww!)

overall the foundation is a nice light coverage, suitable for those who hardly wear make up and those who like a light weight feel.
for me it would be ok during the day time, but deffinetly not thick enough for night's out!!
i think i will be sticking to double wear!! as it is £11 cheaper and is thicker for my skin.

advantages of perfection lumiere:
lasts all day
light weight on skin
did not need much powder to set

disadvantages:
the cost
the large amount needed for full coverage
slight chemical fragerance

verdict:
not for me! i don't think i will be investing in this product as i am quite heavily addicted to heavy make up, AKA: double wear

has anybody else tried this? what did you think?

:)

  2. It sounds lovely, but I like more medium/full coverage, so I'd have to say this doesn't sound like it's for me. Good review!

  9. I have tried several Chanel foundations in the past but I have never gotten the same one twice, they never win me over (although I really like Chanel). It does look good on you though!
